How It Got Started

The progression in which this blog has evolved has changed dramatically from when it first started. Originally as a blog of encouragement, it became an apologetics site to discuss atheism and other issues Christians face. Now, it has become a theological conversation starter for Christians.

There is a problem, particularly in highly Christian populated areas. We've gotten too comfortable being stagnant, content with our knowledge of Scripture and knowing enough to at least be called Christian. Voddie Baucham states, "the modern church is producing passionate people with empty heads who love the Jesus they don't know very well." Yet, information has never been so accessible to laypeople in history. We are without excuse.

Plowboy Theology is theology that even country boys like me can understand. A deeper knowledge of Scripture is not only for the academics. It is for us who claim to follow the One Whom gave us a Book about Himself. Let's spend our time pondering God's Word and His Truth. Let's exegete our Bibles together.
